The article will also assist you with some common uses of the object within your call flow configuration. Should you need any assistance, feel free to contact our support department.

Configuring a PBX Blocklist

The PBX Blocklist object is a feature that allows you to reject calls based on the caller's number. Spam or unwanted callers can be added into this object and their call will be rejected automatically.

  1. Click on the PBX tab once you have logged into your customer portal.
  2. Select the blocklist from the toolbox menu on the left then drag and drop the object onto the main configuration screen.
  3. Click on the gear icon to configure the component.
  4. Enter a descriptive name for the component, then click the add button to enter the number that you would like to block.
You can block international callers by using the full international dialing prefix.
To block anonymous caller IDs, select the option marked Block anonymous calls.

Add the country code and the phone number you wish to block.
You can also add a description to provide a reason the number is blocked.
  5. Connect the blocklist object into your call flow. The blocklist object should be placed after the inbound number. From this point, all specified caller IDs in the blocklist will be blocked. Don't forget to apply the configuration.

In the above example, a call to the inbound number will pass through the blocklist, which will block a call from reaching the user if it matches a caller ID on the list.
